Habitat for Humanity
Habitat is one of our major recipients of services. Jock presented Beth Moore (Habitat representative) a check to help Habitat establishing a furniture closet in the space vacated by the moving of the clothes closet to the new Goochland Cares campus. The furniture closet will fulfill a definite need within our community. Byrdies were once again prominent in moving furniture into the "closet" and as salespeople for the first Furniture Closet yard sale. A special thanks to Knight Bowles, Chris Caul, Sarah and Hazen Burnet and Tita Lockhart.
Byrd is a caring, sharing and giving congregation. We reach out in numerous ways to numerous people and organizations in our community. Old and young contribute towards this on a on a monthly basis.. Here we have some Byrdies with some of the products collected for the Goochland Cares Food bank and a local school weekend lunchbox outreach. You all make our community a better place to live. Thank you all.
VBS - 2018
Byrd loves their youth. The love and care are expressed in so many different ways, but especially with all parents weighing in on providing spiritual growth to their children. Through watching movies, Bible study and doing fun projects, parents and children bond together and build our faith community. We are blessed with parents and youth loving God.

Dinner for the Homeless at St. Mary's - February 2018
Byrd is a caring, sharing and giving faith community. Providing a hot dinner for homeless people at St. Mary's Episcopalian Church is one of the many manifestations of Byrd living its vision. On 14 Feb, our 9th consecutive year, we served group of 29 adults and children a warm dinner and mouthwatering desert. They loved it. So did we. Thanks to all the Byrdies who made this possible. We have already signed up for next year.

Thank You Dinner - February 2018
Our Session's way of thanking members for all their contributions to Byrd in any way and form, is a dinner. This year we reached out to our Mexican neighbors to entertain us on their traditional food. Needless to say, it was another evening of good food, good conversation and strengthening of relationships. We thank everyone for being there and making it another unforgettable gathering. Byrd is a blessed faith community.
